Whilst many of us travel for pleasure, there’s just as many who travel on a regular basis on business trips. Unfortunately, such excursions are often known to be a little more on the stressful side and can, in some instances, result in a less than pleasant experience. The reason behind this is often the case that, when travelling with work, there’s very tight time constraints and, above all else, a lot more to consider in a lot less time!
When travelling for pleasure, either on your own, as a couple or with the family, you’ll often find yourself planning your schedule around what you want to do; not what your boss or co-worker wants you to do. When, on the other hand, travelling for business purposes, it’s not uncommon to find that you can visit a city or destination and not actually get to see anything of interest. This, to many, is frustrating, however luckily, there’s a wealth of travel hacks which can help to make each and every trip that little more bearable.
We were recently shared this infographic which has been put together by Central London Apartments which takes a fantastic look at a selection of 21 travel hacks which every business traveler needs to know in 2016. You can see the infographic for yourself below:
To summarise the points covered in the infographic, our favourite travel hacks covered in the piece are:
Putting Together Your Itinerary As Early As Possible
By knowing what you need to do and when, you’ll be able to identify any gaps in your schedule and know when you have any free time to go and explore your destination. For many, this is a great opportunity to see somewhere new, however if you only have a window of a few hours, you’ll need to be able to take the time to find somewhere suitable to go exploring which fits in. If you leave planning your schedule to the last minute, you’ll struggle to identify the best options.
Take Scans Of ALL Documents
By taking scans of all of your travel documents before you depart, you’re covering yourself in the event of losing anything. Trust us when we say that it’s far easier to ‘sort things out’ when you can prove certain things and whilst only scans, they can go a long way to helping to get things in place in the event of issues.
Understand Roaming Charges
Whilst roaming charges are far more affordable than they were a few years ago, it’s still important to understand what you could be charged for using your phone, and more importantly mobile data, when abroad…in some cases, buying a bundle may be more cost effective.
At the end of the day, we urge you to take a look at the above infographic in a little more depth and if you feel there’s any hacks missing; we’d love you to share them with us.
